On June 12th, 2019, GIZ Proklima collaborated with the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment’s International Environmental Cooperation Center and UNIDO to organize a one-day XPS workshop in Beijing, China. Workshop attendees included German enterprises Berstoff, Promix and Bürkle as well as beneficiary companies of China HPMP Stage II funds. Also present were domestic extruder manufacturers and their suppliers, research institutes, and universities.

11 April 2019 – Beijing – On the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Sino-German Climate Partnership, experts from Chinese and German government ministries, institutions, and organizations met in Beijing to enable knowledge transfer and exchange on shared challenges, synergies and scaling-up potential of IKI projects.

On 20th November, a side event on “Energy Systems in City Quarters” was held during the “11th Green Building Development Summit”. The event was jointly organized by the Science and Technology Development Center (STDC) of the Jiangsu Department of Housing and Rural Development (HURD) and GIZ.
From 28th October to 2nd November 2018, a six-member high-level BMU delegation led by Directorate-General IK Dr. Karsten Sach visited China. Stephan Contius, head of Division IK I 2, and Dr. Vera Rodenhoff, head of Division IK I 4 also joined the delegation.
From 22nd to 26th October 2018, GIZ China and the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP), together with SinoCarbon, Hainan DRC and the Hainan Normal University convened an international advanced ETS training course in the city of Haikou.
