May 8, 2018 – The central government has decided to hand over the responsibility of running the nation’s offset registry to the Beijing Environment Exchange, after looking for an appropriate institution for over a year. The Registry has been overseen by the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC) in the meantime.
