On 23rd of December three BMU IKI extensions and new commissions for the Sino-German Cooperation on Climate Change were received by GIZ China:
- One for the Sino-German Cooperation on Emissions Trading Systems, Carbon Market Mechanisms, and Industry-related N2O Mitigation which runs until 30th of September 2022 and is an extension of the project “Capacity Building for the Establishment of Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS) in China”.
- One for the Sino-German Cooperation on Climate Change – Climate Partnership which now runs until September 2025 (6 Million Euro).
- One for the Sino-German Cooperation on Climate Change – NDC Implementation which now runs until September 2025 (10 Million Euro).
The political partners in the Chinese MEE DCC were informed about the new commissions and the associated claims for service provision by GIZ. MEE DCC will contribute “in-kind” partner services in the amount of 50% of IKI funds.
