Description: As Team Leader and Project Director, Lan is leading the sustainable finance work in China under diverse programmes and projects. She is responsible for the overall coordination and communication with German and Chinese ministries and partner institutions.
She joined GIZ in 2008. In succession, Lan was responsible for the “Sino-German Financial Stability Project” in partnership with the People’s Bank of China (PBoC), the “Sino-German Securities Market Retail Investors Protection Project” in partnership with China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), the “Sino-German Asset and Equity Market Reform Project” and the “Sino-German Project on Tianjin Modern Financial System Development” in partnership with Tianjin Municipality. Moreover, Lan was the Deputy Director of “Consumer Data Protection Project” from 2013-2015, and the Project Director of “Sino-German Center of Finance and Economics” from 2015 to 2017. She was responsible for Sustainable Finance Workstream of China under “the Emerging Market Sustainable Dialogues” from 2014 to 2021. She also acted as the China coordinator of “the Strategic Partnership for the Implementation of Paris Agreement (SPIPA)” from 2019 to 2021, and successively worked as country coordinator of “the EUCD project” from Sep 2022. Currently, she is the project director of two developpp projects, namely “Climate Risk and Resilience Project” and “Sustainable Finance Project”.
