The International Low Carbon Industry Alliance was set up during the 13th China Environment Industry Conference held in Jiangsu Yixing on 17 April. The GIZ Jiangsu project was invited as one of the initiators of the alliance. The objective of the alliance is to promote low carbon technology exchange, development, and dissemination.
The “Supporting the Low Carbon Development of Jiangsu Province Phase III” project has been extended on a cost neutral basis to 30 April 2023 to finalise all indicators for achieving its overall goal. The extension application was approved officially by BMWK on 1 February 2023.
In the Chinese coastal province of Jiangsu, the IKI is contributing to the enhancement of the industrial chain and recycling of the photovoltaic sector.
On December 23, 2022, the Disaster Risk and Insurance Academic Lecture of Nankai University and the Disaster Reduction Lecture of Beijing Normal University jointly organized the first virtual academic workshop on the topic ‘Addressing Climate Change and Carbon Transition Risk.’
