
The GIZ Jiangsu Project and the Yangtze Delta Carbon Neutrality Strategy Research Institute signed the Memorandum of Cooperation in Southeast University on 07 May. Mr. CAI Liang, Party Secretary of the School of Energy and Environment, Southeast University, and Ms. HU Qiying, Director of the GIZ Jiangsu Project, represented both sides to sign the agreement.
The GIZ Jiangsu Project Phase III focuses on the following three outputs: Firstly, a German-Chinese Institute and Network which is well prepared for the future has been established in Jiangsu province, ensuring knowledge transfer, international exchange, and developing products and services aligned to low carbon development. Secondly, consultation content covering innovative, long-term, holistic approaches to energy management and low carbon development, as well as diversifying energy structures, has been developed and processed in cooperation with the Institute, and is now put into practice in Jiangsu province. Thirdly, professional and methodical expertise in holistic low carbon energy management is established for permanent operation of the Institute and distribution via the Network. In this context, both sides agreed to carry out a series of corresponding activities within the Project framework.
