Stocktaking Sustainable Finance Products in China – Final Report

Green transition has become a global consensus nowadays. Likewise, sustainable finance is becoming a priority of Sino-German climate cooperation. Driven by top-down restructuring, China is emerging as one of the fastest countries in green finance development, with rapidly expanding scale and continuous product innovation, gradually moving towards comprehensive sustainable finance. In order to further promote sustainable finance cooperation between China and Germany in terms of institutional design, policy orientation, market practice and product innovation, and to facilitate mutual exchanges, think-tanks from both sides — CIB Research and Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, commissioned by GIZ, have conducted a “stocktaking of sustainable financial products and market practice” in China and Germany respectively.
