Study on Green Development of High Energy-consuming Industries in Jiangsu Province

(Credit: GIZ)

Jiangsu Province is one of the major provincial contributors both to China’s GDP and its major energy consumption. Traditional high energy-consuming industries including steel and iron are responsible for the majority of Jiangsu’s total energy consumption, whilst the energy consumption of emerging industry sectors such as data centers is also growing quickly.

In order to examine the energy efficiency status of major industries in Jiangsu Province, and to formulate a reference basis for energy-saving reviews in line with industry development, the Nanjing Engineering Consulting Center completed a thematic study on the energy efficiency of Jiangsu’s high energy-consuming industries with the support of GIZ Jiangsu Project.

The study covers the following aspects: Research on Green Development of High Energy-consuming Industries in Jiangsu Province, Research on Energy Efficiency of Enterprises in High Energy-consuming Industries in Jiangsu Province, Research on Green Development of Data Centers in Jiangsu Province, and a Summary of the Research on Green Development of High Energy-consuming Industries.
