The Bureau of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has considered and approved revised dates for COP 15. The meeting will now be held from October 11 to 24, 2021, in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. The dates were proposed based on consultations held by the Bureau members with their respective regions as well as consultations between the CBD Secretariat and the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The Secretariat and China as the host country remain committed to ensuring the successful and timely preparation of COP-15 and the concurrent meetings of the Parties to the Protocols. It will make information regarding the meetings’ agendas, registrations and other logistical arrangements available in due course.
