On August 10, 2022, the list of climate investment and finance pilots was announced, and a total of 23 climate investment and finance pilots were approved. The list was announced by nine ministries, among them the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE). It aims to form a policy framework conducive to the development of climate investment and financing, cultivate climate-friendly market mechanism, explore climate investment and financing development models, establish international cooperation platforms, so that capital, talent, technology and other types of factor resources to the climate investment and financing field be fully gathered. Climate investment and financing pilot is expected to not only better play the policy guiding role of government departments, but also to give full play to the leading role of financial institutions, enterprises and other types of market players.
