Climate Cooperation Impact Paper Series – Adaptation & Risk Management in China

This impact paper highlights Sino-German cooperation on climate adaptation and climate risk management in China, implemented by GIZ in close partnership with national and subnational stakeholders. It supports China’s transition toward a “climate-adapted society” under the National Adaptation Strategy 2035 by strengthening governance frameworks, enhancing technical capacities, and fostering international knowledge exchange. Through targeted trainings, expert dialogues, and collaboration with leading global institutions, the initiative has informed national policy development while enabling mutual learning between Chinese and international experts.
