The Jiangsu Project was invited to Xuzhou – a city in the northwest of Jiangsu Province in the border area to Anhui, Henan and Shandong Province –for a field visit. During the visit a potential cooperation concerning the creation of a national innovative pilot city on sustainable development agenda was discussed.
National Innovative Pilot City of Xuzhou Constructs Innovation Demonstration Zone of Sustainable Development
On July 15, 2022, the State Council agreed for Xuzhou – a city in the northwest of Jiangsu Province in the border area to Anhui, Henan and Shandong Province – to construct a demonstration zone of sustainable development innovation. For this purpose, Xuzhou will build a national pilot zone with the theme of innovation leading to high-quality development in the central cities of the resource-based regions.
To support Xuzhou in creating the demonstration zone, the Jiangsu Project was invited for a field visit on July 26, 2022. There, cooperation potentials were discussed. The cooperation aims to foster the transformation of Xuzhou’s energy and industrial structures and to promote its energy conservation capacity.
