“Nature-based Solutions and Beyond: Synergies between Biodiversity and Climate” – Report by the Sino-German Track II Dialogue and its Working Cluster 4

As part of the Sino-German Track-2-Dialogue, German and Chinese experts have regularly exchanged views on the topic of Climate and Biodiversity over the course of 1.5 years, developing a common understanding and recommendations for policymakers and the global community. Co-led by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Cramer and Prof. Dr. WANG Binbin, the experts showcase and discuss in this report various examples of effective nature-based solutions from China and Germany as well as supporting policy frameworks. They emphasize in their recommendations the importance of acting quickly, holistically, and decisively to save the biosphere and climate. This report will be launched during a Side Event at COP30 in Belém.
