The “Progress and Prospects of Transition away from Fossil Fuels to Reach Net-Zero Climate Goals in China and Germany” is working paper created by a joint German and Chinese expert team which is part of the Sino-German Track II Dialogue on Climate Change and Sustainable Development. It examines how Germany and China are addressing the urgent need to transition away from or phasing out of fossil fuels by analyzing their experiences, strategies, challenges, and solutions. This study aims to provide insights into the opportunities of transitioning to sustainable energy systems, offering lessons that extend far beyond their borders.
