From 10 to 12 October 2023, the Sino-German Climate Change Project Seminar and the Provincial Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan Preparation Seminar were successfully held in Chongqing.
In order to enhance exchange on the issue of climate legislation between China and Germany, Dr Stephan Sina, Senior Fellow at Ecologic Institute, visited Beijing from 20 to 21 September 2023 with the support of the NDC-Implementation project
From 10 to 16 September 2023, the Urban-Act project hosted an Indonesian delegation on low-carbon transportation planning in China in collaboration with the Trico Fund. During its stay, the delegation made on-site visits in Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
From 4-8 September 2023, GIZ Proklima organized a study tour to China to encourage international exchange and share experiences on the production of energy-efficient R290 split-type air conditioning (AC). Representatives from government agencies and AC industry from Bangladesh, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam took part in the study tour.
On 24 August 2023, a hybrid virtual exchange meeting was organized by the Urban-Act project on the topic of institutional arrangements in climate services, upon the request of the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD).
On 2 August 2023, the Urban-Act project’s China component and the Fund for Triangular Cooperation, both GIZ projects, joined forces to co-host an exchange and capacity building workshop on climate-friendly transport policy in Semarang, Indonesia.
