Chinese-German Soil Workshop

A workshop focusing on the topic of Soil Survey was organized by the Sino-German Environmental Partnership and the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office (FECO) of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE). It took place on November 5th, 2018 and was a follow-up activity to a previous workshop in June 2018.

GIZ-ICAP International Advanced ETS Training 2018 in Haikou

From 22 to 26 October 2018, GIZ and the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP), together with SinoCarbon, Hainan Development and Reform Commission (DRC) and the Hainan Normal University convened an international advanced ETS training course in the city of Haikou.

BMU and GIZ China strengthen their IKI coordination

From 28th October to 2nd November 2018, a six-member high-level BMU delegation led by Directorate-General IK Dr. Karsten Sach visited China. Stephan Contius, head of Division IK I 2, and Dr. Vera Rodenhoff, head of Division IK I 4 also joined the delegation.

Beijing Climate Talk on NDC implementation structure and donors’ engagement

On 12th October 2018, the Beijing Climate Talk took place at the Beijing Kerry Center. The event was co-organized by GIZ China, ClimateWorks Foundation, and Energy Foundation.
